This site uses one cookie. It holds your basket.
The basket cookie
nhkstore_cart carries a token that lets the shop recognise your basket from one page to the next. It holds no name, no address and nothing about you — only an identifier for a basket sitting on our server.
It is set the first time you add something, lasts thirty days, and is deleted the moment you place an order. Scripts running in your browser cannot read it, and it is sent to nobody but us.
Until you put something in the basket, this site sets no cookies at all.
One thing kept in your browser, which is not a cookie
If you use the delivery estimate, the place you picked is saved in your browser’s own storage so that you are not asked again on every product page. It never reaches us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes it.
What we do not use
No analytics cookies. No advertising or profiling cookies. No third-party cookies of any kind. Nothing here follows you to another website, because there is nothing here that could — the pages of this shop load from our own two servers and from nowhere else.
Turning it off
Your browser can refuse cookies and this site will still show you everything it has. What it will not do is remember your basket: every page will find it empty, and you will not be able to order. That is the whole of the trade.
What we collect when you do order is on the privacy page.
